Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Cult movies have become synonymous to Farhan Aktar.Road trips are now the lingo of his movies.First it was Goa in Dil Chahata Hai and now its Spain.Three sidekicks Abhay Deol,Hritik and Farhan whose personalities are drastically different from each other meet at the  rendezvous.Farhan’s quirks and quips are the hallmark of the movie.Aptly caricatured roleplaying suavly performed by each.Hritik a serious, unplayful finance broker,Abhay has the boy next door kinda attitude andFarhan the joker is an ad-copywriter.The beauty of Spain and Spainards is so beautifully depicted you might just fall in love with the picturesque beauty of Spain.Nothing over the top or nobody is trying hard to play cool.Three amigos having a good time while brooding over some issues in their lives.

However theres one thing I dont understand why they do in Hollywood and Bollywood movies.People dont actually do the Alf+f4 process before shutting down their laptops. They pull the screen down like they are shutting the lid of some can.Hey people, please learn some basics.Learn to shut down the machine approriately. Then theres yet again the unwanted smooch which could have been avoided.Indians look clumsy when they smooch on the screen. It aint our culture,we cant get it right. No matter which hunk is doing it,it just looks like 2 clumsy hamsters sticking together.aint cute,u know. However regardless of these negligle flaws if you dont watch this movie right away, you are ‘all mantal bowyz’ :D .This movie comes with a good message surrounded with lot of beauty and fun.5/5 rating,i’ll say.

P.S:Farhan is an amazing actor just like his other contemporaries in the movie. Is probably a good actor than a director.Donot miss his tap dance in the hotel room :D

Buddha ….hoga tera baap

A bollywood attempt by Puri Jagannath.Like most of the Tollywood movies this one has a quirky script with the typical nuances of nuisance comedy, over acting and over emoting esp by Charmy,Raveena and Prakash Raj.Tollywood, pays high importance to portraying women as  gooey, kitschy navie to the point of farcical stupidity. They are the patrons and patented to limning these superfluous traits of women in contrast with their bollywood contemporaries who often depict a smart, urban image of a women. No wonder the rustics down south place senseless importance to ‘innocence’ of a woman instead of the real deal.Naviety that is often marked and embelished to the degree of making it look infantile and poor fish!Purity aint being stupid,if tollywood directors fathom this,i’m sure the actresses will have opportunities to show their skills appropriately.

As for the movie, you put Amitabh into anything and it turns into a pot of gold. The concept of this movie is quirky to take medley of Amitabh antics and design a plot, retaining his classic, legendary capers. Its so entertaining to watch him in an offbeat role carried out with airy suave. If only Tollywood was more polished in its approach towards this movie, avoiding certain gimcrackery such as mentioned aboved would has added a more rigour to certain characters. But then when theres Amitabh in anything,by default and to no fault does he become the centrfugal force of joy and aura spread over the film.A good entertainment regardless of its follies and foibles using the management fundas, and the orthoepic humour of a rustic, you might just feel that the dialouges have been written listening to the collegian speak, coz the language is not too rhetoric as is in most of the movies.A far-out offbeat movie.

A refreshingly successfull attempt to the raunchy,tongue-in-cheek comedy in bollywood.Imraan Khan has matured in his performance making his natural abilities look gifted. Not a moment of boredom.Too much nuiescense enjoyed. However, first thirty minutes that i missed for the first time watch made me think, nothing is obscene or offensive as they made a big deal of it.later when I caught up with what i missed,I was disgusted to the core.Seriously, they need to get a life.Ewwww.But for the rest of the movie,it seems just fine esp Vijay Raaz and Vir,they have given a rib-tickling performance.

They have ushered the regular, rustic life without idealizing it like most of the crappy bollywood movies do.We all give galis at somepoint of time and do rebuke dont we?then why the fuss?I’m glad its not offensive like the hairbrained Roadies, not can beat that. This movie is realistic comedy with good amount of unpredictable absurdity.Three bachelores, their way of living and the fate they are caught in.Novel yet something you can very easily relate to.Goodbye Kjo movies…you have reach a mere extintion along with your gay buddy SRK.You could however watch it a couple of time, certainly not with family, unless they are supercool. However it a movie to be watched with cronies and not mommy and daddy.Yet another relief is that the movie doesnt waste time showing all the songs but only plays them in the background, making you to want more.

Transformers 3 dark of the moon

Category : hollywood, Reviews

After a devoted await for a year,i see the ‘dark of the moon’ only for couple of minutes as the rest of the action is on Earth.Quite disappointing, regardless of the 3D effect. The second half of the movie is all about robotic combact to save us from despair to get converted into slaves to server the GenX robots. Its a relief to see some alien life without flesh and blood and still capable of experiencing our emotions. What I love most of transformers is the machinery,so suave and convertible and such an easy kill. What does it take to kill a metallic life, some fire and canons?yet they dont bleed and sigh like us and death of machinery aint that messy at all.Its a relief as most of the movies with the alien genre show them as some sort of zombies contracting the whole concept of aliens by caricaturing them with basic anatomy of human beings.I mean whats so alien about that when we can draw ateast some similarities except they make them look ugly.Transformers on the other hand is different.Someone must have a remarkbale evolved mind to have created the very concept of robots saving us,humans. The hidden message is metaphoric, since our lives are so dependant on machines, what else can have the prerogative to save us?This version three is a little let down, neverthness a onetime watch for the love of machines and transformers per say.I’d say a 3/5.
