Bollywood likes crucifying  BigB’s movies, dunno what’s  with this remake-epidemic.First it was Ram gopal Verma’s pathetic attempt now its Karan Johar.Sanjay Dutt looks  menacing enough to give jitters to lucifer.Yesteryear’s loverboy Rishi Kapoor in a shocking role and an authentic performance as Rauf Lala.Karan Johar seems to have changed his business strategy from making movies on ostensible family drama, dharma has shifted from drama to slam-bang attempts. The pot-bellied Chetan Pandit is no match for Alok Nath’s stupendous performance. The irony, however is,how a destitute master living in dire straits ,have a paunch? His diction to recite a prodigious poem by Harivansh Rai Bachchan  is so rookie, you wouldnt know if he’s a Master or an upstart. The poem which supposedly was a hallmark of the movie, scathingly incinerated by Dinanath Chauhan of 2012.

Important motifs,symbiology and trivia:

Feng Shui Dragon symbols,The wish fulfilling Kalpavriksha(Banyan tree) didnt seem to work..

Hritik Roshan seems to have undergone some lazer treatment for his teeth in his youth in the movie(which they have forgotten to show coz the kid vijay chauhan seem to have a different set of teeth as compared to Hritik).

Nails:Whats with that, really?Everybody, right from Sanjay Dutt,Hritik and inclusive Priyanka Chopra seem to have murky nails.Though Priyanka runs a chinese beauty parlour with feng shui symbols ,she didn’t seem to get a manicure for herself.

Hritik Roshan eats with his left hand in one of the scenes. His father didnt even teach him a simple custom of eating food with right hand?Really, Dinanath chauhan didnt seem to have taught him anything except a poem. However Hritik’s performance as an individual is good enough with his patented expressions;oh-so-predictable,you can watch a movie or two of his and expect how he’d perform in any scene.

The only saving grace is Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor and Surprisingly Hritik didnt have a dance number.Katrina’s performance in a lavni-style item number is applaudable.People who have watched lavnis with the katori blouse and maharastrian kasta know how authentic elements they have used in the song ‘chikni chemali’.Overall a onetime watch if you force yourself to watch this movie out of curiocity.

A Special Kudos to the stylist and costume designer of this movie who have given riveting looks to every character, esp Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor,it could hold those impressions for a good amount of time.

Cult movies have become synonymous to Farhan Aktar.Road trips are now the lingo of his movies.First it was Goa in Dil Chahata Hai and now its Spain.Three sidekicks Abhay Deol,Hritik and Farhan whose personalities are drastically different from each other meet at the  rendezvous.Farhan’s quirks and quips are the hallmark of the movie.Aptly caricatured roleplaying suavly performed by each.Hritik a serious, unplayful finance broker,Abhay has the boy next door kinda attitude andFarhan the joker is an ad-copywriter.The beauty of Spain and Spainards is so beautifully depicted you might just fall in love with the picturesque beauty of Spain.Nothing over the top or nobody is trying hard to play cool.Three amigos having a good time while brooding over some issues in their lives.

However theres one thing I dont understand why they do in Hollywood and Bollywood movies.People dont actually do the Alf+f4 process before shutting down their laptops. They pull the screen down like they are shutting the lid of some can.Hey people, please learn some basics.Learn to shut down the machine approriately. Then theres yet again the unwanted smooch which could have been avoided.Indians look clumsy when they smooch on the screen. It aint our culture,we cant get it right. No matter which hunk is doing it,it just looks like 2 clumsy hamsters sticking together.aint cute,u know. However regardless of these negligle flaws if you dont watch this movie right away, you are ‘all mantal bowyz’ :D .This movie comes with a good message surrounded with lot of beauty and fun.5/5 rating,i’ll say.

P.S:Farhan is an amazing actor just like his other contemporaries in the movie. Is probably a good actor than a director.Donot miss his tap dance in the hotel room :D

A bollywood attempt by Puri Jagannath.Like most of the Tollywood movies this one has a quirky script with the typical nuances of nuisance comedy, over acting and over emoting esp by Charmy,Raveena and Prakash Raj.Tollywood, pays high importance to portraying women as  gooey, kitschy navie to the point of farcical stupidity. They are the patrons and patented to limning these superfluous traits of women in contrast with their bollywood contemporaries who often depict a smart, urban image of a women. No wonder the rustics down south place senseless importance to ‘innocence’ of a woman instead of the real deal.Naviety that is often marked and embelished to the degree of making it look infantile and poor fish!Purity aint being stupid,if tollywood directors fathom this,i’m sure the actresses will have opportunities to show their skills appropriately.

As for the movie, you put Amitabh into anything and it turns into a pot of gold. The concept of this movie is quirky to take medley of Amitabh antics and design a plot, retaining his classic, legendary capers. Its so entertaining to watch him in an offbeat role carried out with airy suave. If only Tollywood was more polished in its approach towards this movie, avoiding certain gimcrackery such as mentioned aboved would has added a more rigour to certain characters. But then when theres Amitabh in anything,by default and to no fault does he become the centrfugal force of joy and aura spread over the film.A good entertainment regardless of its follies and foibles using the management fundas, and the orthoepic humour of a rustic, you might just feel that the dialouges have been written listening to the collegian speak, coz the language is not too rhetoric as is in most of the movies.A far-out offbeat movie.

A refreshingly successfull attempt to the raunchy,tongue-in-cheek comedy in bollywood.Imraan Khan has matured in his performance making his natural abilities look gifted. Not a moment of boredom.Too much nuiescense enjoyed. However nothing is obscene or offensive as they made a big deal of it.I initially missed the first 30 minutes of the movies and when I later caught up with what i missed,I was disgusted to the core.Seriously, they need to get a life.Ewwww.But for the rest of the movie,it seems just fine esp Vijay Raaz and Vir,they have given a rib-tickling performance.

They have ushered the regular, rustic life without idealizing it like most of the crappy bollywood movies do.We all give galis at somepoint of time and do rebuke dont we?then why the fuss?I’m glad its not offensive like the hairbrained Roadies, not can beat that. This movie is realistic comedy with good amount of unpredictable absurdity.Three bachelores, their way of living and the fate they are caught in.Novel yet something you can very easily relate to.Goodbye Kjo movies…you have reach a mere extintion along with your gay buddy SRK.You could however watch it a couple of time, certainly not with family, unless they are supercool. However it a movie to be watched with cronies and not mommy and daddy.Yet another relief is that the movie doesnt waste time showing all the songs but only plays them in the background, making you to want more.

A well treated movie that revalued the case in a period of 120 mins. However looks like our Rani Mukherjee struggled very hard to make the american slang-diction look cool.F**** word and derogatory remarks and slangs would have added the required hue to the movie if only they were made to appear more natural.Vidya Balan has a golden beard in this movie, and it is so apparent, your mind screams ‘wax your face birdie’,’ dont bleach’ ‘DONT BLEACH’..GAWD!someone give her grooming classes. She maintains herself like a school going kid.I dont think even schoolies bleach.blech the bleaching habits,Vidya, pls for the sake of auidence who watch the close-up on the big screen.Mahesh Bhatt has a tiny role, however when he speaks, his grotesque teeth say’I have been borrowed from a Vampire’.He’s sure has upset the toothy fairy.Rani Mukheerjee has pined and struggled to look the ‘wannabe cool’ trying hard on the American slang’,boy it sounds so abnormally unnatural.Like a village oaf was forced to enunciate in spoken slanglish classes. How many times you teacher-teacher gave you beating to speak like that?Poor Rani, she had to go through all this just to learn proper diction, and get a D grade for diction but A+ for performance.Regardless of these crackbrained flaws, the movie is worth a watch.

A movie based on the book, accidental millionaires. To the nerdy, for the nerdy,by the nerdy.A must for anybody who can even remotely define ambition. Its inspiring to see how a young, intrepid lad from the prestigious Harvard University makes his way to be the worlds youngest millionarie. The conviction, math, logic, vision and reflective tenacity right after the break-up with his girlfriend,to build facebook.A brilliant inspiring movie based on a living  geeky Baron.Justin timberlake does a swell performance has an improtant role to play.Every stage in the birth of Facebook is beautifully depicted.

P.S:Not a movie for someone who sucks on kjo and srk movies. This is a movie is for the fleshlings belonging to the intellectual, academic snobbery. For people who truly understand the value of knowledge and information and the spirit to innovate. Now I know how much I miss my geek-dom.

A break-up can sometimes give you billion-dollor idea.Next time you break-up do not fret.In the West a break-up does not give a DevD ,it produces a Mark Zuckerberg.

An excellent movie for a fun weekend. Not a single dull moment while watching this movie. The cherry on the top is the rude-man of tele-Raghu Ram’s,exceptional performance. The more you hate him on roadies, the more adorable is his performance  in this movie.John’s role of a geeky-jittery books store owner was neat.Looks like he had to put in tremendous efforts to blend-into this role and it shows, finally(sigh). The movie offers  bountiful sarcastic humour and raghu ram’s patented antics, which are surprisingly very enjoyable.Pakhi is a refreshing as a main role.Story is what you will not focus on when the entire romcom is amusing.

There is neither any similarity with anjaana anjaani or friends as people have claimed. However, the suicidal aspect seems to be the common link treated differently in both these movies.Deserves an applause and not critical acclaim as theres no room to critique this movie, unless you like to play the devil’s advocate or dislike John(which is the remotest possiblility). Finally John has arrived and has learnt to act.yeyi!
